Raspberry
Patch Furniture, Antiques & Crafts is a very unique craft shop
in a log house that sits next to a hedgerow with a wonderful
wild raspberry patch the entire length of it. The raspberries
have been enjoyed by many students in the form of pies, tarts,
and cobblers that are served with coffee or tea during class
breaks. Many of our crafts and colors center on the beauty
of nature.
Classes are taught in
acrylic, oil, and mixed media techniques. Many finished projects are on
display in the house to help you choose a project you might be interested in
learning. Shop owner Ted Mitchell and his wife Joanne, Shop Teacher, are
proud to show new students through the house when they come to classes.
Classes
are taught in decorative painting, mixed media, stenciling,
tin punch, lampshade making, scherenschnitte, sewing,
quilting, rug punch, punchneedle, rug hooking, and many other
beautiful techniques. Learn how to make floorcloths with
Joanne’s unique methods. Santa and Snowmen are painted on old
ironing boards, lap boards, chairs, tables, blackboards,
slates, sleds, and anything else that can be found to make an
interesting project.
Raspberry Patch carries a full range of paints, stencils,
brushes, surfaces, ribbon, flowers, needle punch patterns, rug
punch patterns, tools and accessories for all of the needle
art mediums, baskets, theorem stencils, mediums oil paints,
lampshade making supplies,
and just about anything necessary to create a work of art or
to give a piece of furniture a new look!
