Class Policies
1. There is a class fee of $12.00 for each class and is required at the time of registration.
The cost for materials is in addition to this fee and is due upon receipt of the
materials.
2. All materials for projects MUST be purchased from
Raspberry Patch.
3. Upon registration you will be sent a list of supplies that you will
be required to bring to class, such as brushes, wax paper,
paper towels. Paints will be furnished by Raspberry
Patch for all projects that are painted on surfaces purchased
from the shop. If you bring your own surface, there will be a
$2.00 paint fee. If you want a special color that is not open,
then you need to purchase it from the paints that are for sale
in the shop.
4. Joanne
expects her students to invest in good brushes and practice excellent brush
care. She teaches that in their first class.
She teaches her beginning students how to prepare their surfaces, how to
basecoat properly, and how to do all the important strokes for shading and highlighting.

5. Practice, Practice, Practice! The more you practice the skills you
learn,
the better artist you will become. Decorative painting is an art. If
you spend even 30 minutes a few times a week, it will all add up and your skills
will improve. Weekly classes, too, will surely help you improve your
skills.
6. We take a 15 minute break during classes
for a homemade dessert, coffee and tea.
7. Standard Supplies to always bring to
class - brushes (liner, filbert, flats, rounds) in various
sizes, ruler, eraser, stylus, pencil, brush basin and paper
palette - all available for purchase at the shop.
