 I
have been very busy painting and
the
GREAT NEWS is that
my decorative paintings
will be for sale at the new Finger Lakes Gifts and
Lounge at 60 Seneca Street in Geneva, New York. They are
open Monday - Thursday 9:00am-8:30pm, Friday & Saturday
9:00am-10:00pm. They are located in the store that used
to be Guard Cards.
I have painted some beautiful tea boxes, tissue boxes,
sleds and a checkerboard Santa on a grain scoop that
will be sold in this gift shop. Below are pictures taken
of my painted items on display in the shop. The sleds
and Santa aren’t out as yet, but will be when the season
nears. I hope you will stop in at Finger
Lakes Gifts & Lounge and look at my decorative painted projects.
 While
you are there, be sure to admire the beautiful black and white checked
floor and enjoy some delicious coffee and pastry. They also have wine,
cheese plates and beer on their menu. You can click on their link on my
Favorite Links page. It would be a great place to stop after a movie
too!
I am anxious to get in some pieces of furniture that need a makeover.
One of my friends has a potting table that I am hoping she will let me
make over this winter. Below is a picture of how I would like to paint
it. She is worried that she won’t be able to make messes on it after it
is made over, but the several coats of water base varnish will protect
it, and even if it gets distressed a bit, it will look more like an
heirloom!
